Marketplace terms

1. CityRent's role CityRent.ca is an online marketplace for rental listings and member communication. CityRent is not the landlord, tenant, owner, renter, broker, property manager, insurer, lender, or party to agreements between members. 2. Member responsibilities Members must provide accurate information, use the service lawfully, respect other people, and comply with applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws. Do not post fraud, illegal goods, unsafe equipment, discriminatory content, or requests for passwords, banking credentials, SINs, or unnecessary identity documents. 3. Transactions Members are responsible for verifying identity, ownership, condition, availability, deposits, viewing or pickup arrangements, rental terms, and legal requirements. CityRent does not hold funds, provide escrow, guarantee payment, guarantee a listing, or guarantee a member. 4. As-is service The website, listings, communications, moderation, safety information, and promotion tools are provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. CityRent does not promise uninterrupted, error-free, complete, current, secure, or suitable service. 5. Limitation of liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, CityRent and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or for loss of money, property, data, opportunity, reputation, or goodwill arising from listings, communications, transactions, delays, outages, unauthorized access, or member conduct. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. 6. Content and moderation You allow CityRent to host and display submitted content as needed to operate the marketplace. CityRent may review, limit, remove, suspend, or terminate content or accounts for safety, legal, operational, or policy reasons. 7. Promotions Featured, Top, and Bump Up visibility improves placement only. A promotion is not verification, approval, insurance, or a guarantee. CityRent may reject, cancel, or end a promotion for safety, technical, legal, or policy reasons. 8. Changes and contact We may update these Terms as the service changes.
